Under the generous patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, the “Computer Camp – Programming and Artificial Intelligence Course” was launched by the Center for Continuing Education at Al-Mustaqbal University, with the participation of a group of students and individuals interested in programming and artificial intelligence applications. The course aimed to equip participants with both fundamental and advanced technical skills through practical, hands-on training in the Python programming language, as well as an introduction to artificial intelligence concepts and their real-world applications. The five-day program included four days of online training via Google Meet, followed by a final in-person session dedicated to project implementation and the awarding of certificates. The training was delivered by Ammar Abdul Kareem Mubarak, a professional programmer and founder of Webe Software Solutions, and Asst. Lecturer Yasmeen Mohammed Fadhel, a certified trainer at the Center for Continuing Education – Al-Mustaqbal University. Their sessions combined theoretical instruction with applied exercises. Key topics of the course included: Basics of Python programming and developing the first practical project Applying programming concepts through loops, conditions, and lists Introduction to artificial intelligence with practical examples Exploration of AI libraries and frameworks such as NumPy, Pandas, and TensorFlow Designing and testing an interactive chatbot The program witnessed remarkable engagement from participants, who expressed great interest in the practical and interactive approach of the training. Ms. Saadia Faleh Hassoun, Director of Together for the Protection of Human and Environment Association, delivered a lecture on the current state of air quality and its impact on human health and the environment. Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Hosni Ibrahim from Menoufia University – Arab Republic of Egypt, presented a scientific lecture addressing environmental challenges related to air pollution. From the University of Al-Mustaqbal, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ammar Abdul-Kadhim discussed the role of academic institutions in raising environmental awareness and developing strategies to combat pollution. Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Mostafa Ahmed Ragab from the Middle Technical University presented practical experiences and proposed solutions to improve air quality in Iraqi cities. At the conclusion of the workshop, participants emphasized the importance of cooperation between universities, research institutions, and civil society organizations to enhance environmental awareness and adopt initiatives that contribute to improving air quality and protecting public health.
